Massages

Massage has many benefits for our health and well being. Stress control, decreased anxiety, tiredness and  insomnia, relief of tension, muscle aches and headaches, decompress, relax, etc. It will also have other  benefits, such as improving blood circulation, skin elasticity and strengthening of the immune system. 

 

Massage stimulates the balance of the intestinal system and eliminates toxins and metabolic residues.

Massage increases the activity of white blood cells that help our body fight diseases and may help with reduction of cortisol.

However,there are some contraindications to which we should pay attention.

These can be absolute, and in that case  you should definitely not have a massage.

Contraindications can be also relative, and in this case the massage  technique can be practiced, however, taking into account the specifications of the specialized professional, so  as not to cause collateral damage to the customer:

Some absolute contraindications:


• When the patient has symptoms of fever;
• If the patient is under the influence of alcohol or drugs;
• In case of infectious diseases;
• If the patient has acute inflammation;
• Pregnancy up to the third month;
• Decompensated heart disorders;
• Haemorrhagic diseases, tumors and cancer, or was less than 5 years old;
• Acute reactive arthritis (rheumatism);
• Patients with autoimmune diseases;
• Circulatory changes: salient varices, phlebitis (inflamed varices), thrombophlebitis (inflamed varices with  blood clots), embolism, thrombosis);

Some contraindications concerning:
• Menstrual period (anemia);
• In case of small burns, the affected area may be omitted;
• Loss of sensitivity of the area;
• Skin changes: eczema, warts, etc. ;
• Breast-feeding (cannot breast-feed in the next 48 hours, milk gets toxins);
• Cases of skin hypersensitivity or allergies;
• Post surgery until medical order (after 6 months);
• Liver failure;
• Mild wounds such as entroses, tendinitis, others;
• Blood pressure problems;
